Grading severity of dengue haemorrhagic fever

DHF is classified into four grades of severity, where grades III and IV are
considered to be DSS. The presence of thrombocytopenia with concurrent
haemoconcentration differentiates grades I and II DHF from DF.

Grade I: Fever accompanied by non-specific constitutional symptoms; the only haemorrhagic manifestation is a positive tourniquet test and/or easy bruising.

Grade II:Spontaneous bleeding in addition to the manifestations of Grade I patients, usually in the forms of skin or other haemorrhages.

Grade III: Circulatory failure manifested by a rapid, weak pulse and narrowing of pulse pressure or hypotension, with the presence of cold, clammy skin and restlessness.

Grade IV: Profound shock with undetectable blood pressure or pulse

View from the 22nd floor of our hotel room when I was in Manila. Shutter speed: 2 seconds, no tripod used. Here's the best motto for all photo enthusiasts, "click lang ng click hanggang makaChamba!", just click and click until you get that money shot!

We went island hopping in the beautiful islands of Aklan. Our small boat was moving too fast, that made me difficult to take this photo. I wasn't able to follow the rule of the third, but i still like this photograph, guess that's what they call, "love your own".

June 12 is Phil's Independence day. PGMA proclaimed monday (June 14) as holiday so that employees will have long weekend break. Our president is fond of moving holidays, I wonder when will she move the Christmas and New Year's. :P

Filthy Forty #2

Been busy living the world outside cyberspace guys, trying to build a career. Whooo Lord Tabang please! Anyway, here's a beautiful pink Hibiscus, a photo I took when my family and I went to Samal Island, Davawenyos' playground. I'm not really a big fan of flowers but i really like macro shots. Happy to share no photoshop enhancement rendered, except for my water mark of course. My next photo will not gonna be a flower anymore, i promise (i'll try. Razz). God Bless!

Filthy Forty Week1

Most of you probably already saw this on my FB page, this photo was take at an old coffee shop near our place. I always have this frustration on reproducing Sun flowers, my friend Roger used to give me seedlings and i was able to let them grow but the big problem is on reproducing, so i was able to witness the beauty of my sflowers for few days and all of them just died. This photo was inspired by paolo, my online buddy and one of my fave Thai photographers. His sun flower photos was taken in sun flower village, a place somewhere in Thailand. Gee! I want to go there!
