Filipinos love to sing! And most of us are really proud of it. Most of the foreigners would wonder why Filipinos do not sing in an enclosed place. Hindi pa kasi uso ang KTV bars noon and until now, the old er, senior prefer to sing in not so public places… onli in da Philippines ika nga! : )
There are a lot of good Pinoy singers out there, not to mention those who cause pandemic singing sensation. To name some, we have A.p.L of Black Eyed Peas, lead singer of the oh so SEXY Pussy Cat Dolls Nicole Scherzinger, hot Latino Enrique Iglesias, the youtube star Charice Pempengco and if you’ll allow me to let Dara park of power house rookie 2ne1 join the list… she’s Filipino at heart naman ah?
Not to tickle your mind, I used to like the OST of Hayden Camera Scandal, “careless whisper” but it eventually went out of my list not because of the video per se but because since that issue became controversial… all people were singing it! Geee! CSF was leaking on my ears! Go back to our story…
Meet my crew!
Medj – the operator who loves to play Aqua’s Barbie girl lol! and
Joey- the master rapper who loves to increase the tempo of every song we pick. ohyeah!
Dora- the sOnger who sang most of the time and Chard- the secret killer.. let the photo do the talking. Definitely MAMUGASAY!
And ehem.. your’s truly aside from being the photograpger,
I am also Dora’s back up singer. I only sing the last words in each phrase.:))
And here is our score although were a little pitchy and at times totally out of tune.
But the real reason why we went to a music bar at noon...

Aying was not feeling well and it was so hot outside so we looked for a place to "rest".
This is based on my conversation with a friend who lives in Manila. This post is intended for those people don’t know well and have wrong concepts on our dear city. . .
Q: How does it feel living in davao? err.. Broad question, be specific please. :D
Q: How does Davao look like? Are there a lot of farms with goats and cows?
I was like, huh? here's a view from our class room. let's just allow the picture do the talking =)
What makes Davao a great city to live is that it has the right blend of modernization yet stays friendly with the environment
Q: Are there a lot of Muslims in your place and are there any Abu Sayaffs?
Yes, there are some Muslims who live in Davao and it saddens me to accept the fact that most of the Filipinos' impression on Muslims would always relate to violence. But I could not blame my fellow Filipinos well, beside from infamous Manny Pacquioa's superb achievement in the boxing arena, we can't deny the fact that Philippines also became famous because of the kidnapping of people from this DEMENTED GROUP! Remember the Martin and Gracia Burnham kidnapping? I would end up questioning why do these people are not infected with colon cancer instead of good people like the late president, Corazon Aquino. But here's the thingwhy i will never condemn the muslims as a whole. Way back in grade school, I had this classmate who said to me "we are not like the other Muslims that you see in televisions, we do not want war". We were so young then and at that young age, my classmate already felt the dilemma. in logic that true to all is true to some but true to some is not true to all. The law of subaltern. It's always wrong to generalize, but human as we are, we often say before me think and just ride on with our emotions.just like now, I'm getting off the topic . yay!
Q: Can all of the people in Davao speak tagalog (Philippine Language)?
I bet, yes! basing on my experiences even those people who were not formally educated, they can speak tagalog and english...carabao english and tagalog nga lang. :) Funny thing is, in our school, not everyone can speak visayan (our local dialect) but everyone can speak tagalog and english.I would often hear people trying to speak visayan (carabao visayan ^^ ) since we need to communicate to the people using the local dialect. Maui, I salute you! you are now an expert when speaking visayan! :))
A quick list why I'm proud of our city
1. Next to Quezon City, Davao is the next most livable city in Philippines.
2. Since I realized that I have the ability to think, it was only twice when we experience storm signal number 1.
3. You don't have to travel 2 hours to reach the beach, the marvelous white sand of Samal Island is just few minutes away.
4. Technically, it's a safe place for the good people. Heard the death squad rumors? so if your a bad guy, stay away from the city, seriously.
5. We have the most hard working metro aides in the country (plus the well disciplined people), thank you for making our city clean!
6. Cigarette smoking is prohibited in the public places. Our cops should implement this law strictly, they should not wait our mayor to remind them again.
7. Our mayor, Rodrigo Duterte is definitely the best. PERIOD!
Few more days, our city will be celebrating the festivals of festivals.
No class today, I was able to watch Hunter X Hunter. AWHAT? They are still showing that old anime! I was still in high school when got hooked. A little trivia, PACU (one of my ten thousand nicks) came from that show. No, it’s not from a fish. This is how PACU (fish) with humanoid teeth looks like, yay! Looks so scary lah~ give justice to our name!
Back to the show, I made something out of the episode today.
Do you agree?

I finally completed the required OR and DR cases for the board examination. I don’t have make cotton balls anymore, yay! My new dilemma is the signing of my templates. One problem after another, uhg Infinite problem!
P.S. I met people I befriend with when I had my completion. They didn’t recognize me at first because “I look very different wearing scrub suit, a notorious mischievous kid who just hangs around the corner of the street”to add, how about not even minding to take a bath? Now, I would accept the first lines, but not the last line! Haha! That’s just too MEAN!Kidding aside, I’m really happy to meet them once again, they even approached me first! :)

The June 2009 Nurse Licensure Exam Result has finally released! Thank you Bro! Wilmar, Debie, and Camille are now registered nurses! WOW!
I’ve been eating a lot of unhealthy foods. A LOT! Chocolates, junk foods, too salty and too sweet lead my overly sensitive tonsils react again. (photo by my friend Mitchy Sun)
Last Saturday, I had difficulty of swallowing, checking my dear tonsils in the mirror, dang! Severely swollen and look so red. Actually, I’m quite blessed enough not to see white coats around it, because that would mean there's PUS. Yay! Super gross! I know!
Sunday morning, I felt so exhausted. Checked my temperature. Oh la la! It’s 38C. I slept and chewing acetaminophen whole day. I had difficulty of sleeping and woke up early morning around 2am. I felt so hot, checked my temperature again. I AM LITERALLY HOT! It was 38.9C! my lips were so dry and I can feel my breath more effective than a heater. My Uni had 11-7 shift, so I'm home alone. I’m really thankful my Mum insisted to stay in our house to take care of me. (we live in a different house but in the same compound though).
Monday morning, we went to hospital for EENT check up. I would recommend you guys to go to physician’s clinic and not just in the Emergency Room because doctor’s who attend in ER are residents, not to belittle their ability but it is always better to consult an EXPERT.
So there I was, sitting at the doctor’s weird clinic. It was like I’m Hogwarts’ astronomy classroom. Yeap! I can see stars all over his clinic. To my surprise, the diagnosis was not just tonsillitis but PHARYNGITIS! Part of my throat behind the soft palate is inflamed. Antibiotics were prescribed for a week. (Expensive, yay!)
The next day, Tuesday, although I still have fever I forced my self to go to class. One, because staying at home makes me feel more ill. Second, we had a very good lecturer in Psychiatric Nursing. It’ll be a big lost on my part to miss his class. Surprised once again, it wasn’t only me who skipped class on Monday in fact, healthy I am. I was able to skip only a day. MORE THAN ¾ in the class were not feeling well. Most of the symptoms that my classmates experienced were fever, cough and colds. H1N1? Okay, here’sthe theory. Someone from the class was infected by the virus yet did not consult a physician.Anyway, gradually we are getting better. ALL is WELL that ENDS WELL. Ayt! : )
Here’s a photo of healthy me! (using my friend's handy) The aftermath of my story is that I religiously take my Vitamins. I also do a little stretching and flexing those muscles every morning.
Yep, I was in the elevator in that photo using my friend’s handy. Would you believe I was trapped in the elevator TWICE this morning! How untimely, we had an exam and yes! I was late!
P.S. Finally, I was able to distinguish what’s my target grade for every exam. And for 2 consecutive examinations, I failed to meet my goal! Darn, it is only now that I realize the importance of 4 points! *disappointed*
I have come to a conclusion that man in the mirror is my all time favorite song. I just find it weird because I always post the lyrics of the song as my status in Facebook way before Micheal Jackson died. @.@
I badly want to post the video sarah and otep made (with my photos in it) about poverty but dang! multiply won't allow me : l anyway, you can view the video by visiting Sarah Baldonado's multiply site.
Photo taken along the busy street near San Pedro Cathedral. Most street kids that I see have furious eyes but this trio is different.

.......................................................................................................................... I confess that I haven't tried studying for review class' exam. No, not once! But still i pass. Now, I'm bothered. Will luck still be on my side during the actual board? So, it's too late for me to study for tomorrow's exam, it's late and my eyes are shunting by themselves. Henceforth, studying starts on Monday. Whether I'm depress with my cases or not. I must start studying na!
There are a lot of things i want to say, but the end point is that I loose the energy to write. Few things i remember though... I found my old jot down notebook yesterday and found something I wrote 3 years ago.
It's tiring to plan, It's frightening to act, But if you want to get a life, STAND UP!
guess the 3 years ago Yuli is poking me lah~
It is getting down and dirty in our review class and just to understand why our reviewer is speaking Greek, I promise to lessen the number of hours I spend with Facebook applications. I think I'm close to dying if that's the case. @_@ Idiot, I know! For goodness sake why do these games have opioid ingredients? Soooo Addictive!!!
I was hooked to Street Racing, Yoville, Vampire Wars, Mafia Wars, Fashion Wars and all the wars. (yeah, corny!) Holla back Ladies and Gents, here are the games that really made me an addict.
1...2...3...ahhhhh! how cute! probably that's your first reaction when you created your pet and saw it for the first time playing her skipping rope or ball. What makes this addictive? I don't know exactly either. Maybe because we can visit our friends house and drop some love or maybe because it's waste/stool/sh*t can turn into golden coins! How can that possibly happen? The man behind pet society is better than Einstein. Out of this world! :X
Another playfish application, Restaurant City People! My friends kept on talking about this game and felt like i'm the only one left not playing. So I tried and before i knew it..wooow, i'm addicted. This game is so fun because you can hire your friends as the chef, waiter or if your sarcastic...the cleaner of you restaurant. Must mention, you can name your our Restau! Mine's The Talon and yeap, it's taken from Smallville lah~.
And tan ta da dannnnn.... lastly which i'm currently so into. FARMTOWN baby. This game teaches you to be patient because you have to wait for 2-4 days (depends on the seed used) for your plants to grow. NoPe, you can't buy fertilizers in the market so there's no fast forward. My ultimate dream is to buy a mansion, but my schedule is getting harsh up until the end of this year so I've gotta shake it of be contented with white farm house. It looks like in smallville anyways, so no problemo amigos.
In relation to farming...here's a very interesting photo my Uni took. It says "pepper or chili". Hmm.. my Uni has pretty good taste.
To enhance my lame attempt to stop FB application addiction. I'm trying to persuade myself to agree with Julian Smith. Ever heard of "25 things I hate about Facebook."? or how 'bout happyslip's "Facebook Fever!"?
So what's your favorite FB application or your already sick and tired and wanna holler BOOOO FaceBook? Drop some love lah~ *^^*
